Behind the scenes: a look at what we are working on

RWE Group frequently works on projects focussing on new regulations and important topics.
We are on track to connect with the Pensions Dashboard when it goes live. When it does our members will be able to see their RWE Group benefits as part of the online portal.
Following a change in the law about Guaranteed Minimum Pensions (GMPs), we are reviewing these benefits and we will contact you if your benefits are affected. This project is ongoing but you should hear more in 2026.
Much of the important work we do happens in the background, making sure RWE Group stays well-run, secure and up to date with the requirements for pension arrangements.
Alongside the ongoing work needed to keep everything on track, we sometimes set up dedicated working groups to focus on new projects — especially when there are changes to regulations or new requirements to meet. Here are two key projects we are currently working on.
Pensions Dashboard: a one-stop-shop for pension information
The dashboard could make a real difference to peace of mind about pension income and retirement planning for many people. The goal is to provide a clear and secure online view of all your pensions in one place including your State Pension. This is a nationwide project led by the Department for Work and Pensions.
Pension schemes across the UK, including ours, are required to connect to the dashboard system. This means preparing our data and making sure it can be shared safely and accurately when the system goes live. When it does you should be able to see information about your RWE Group benefits as part of the dashboard, which is an online portal.
Most members will not notice any changes immediately. The dashboard will be introduced in stages, with the current expectation that the dashboard will be publicly available from October 2026. While the plans continue to evolve we are closely following developments and doing everything necessary to be ready.
Guaranteed Minimum Pensions
In earlier updates, we let you know about changes in the law related to part of your pension called the Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP).
Like most other pension arrangements we are currently running a project to review members’ GMPs. This is because those benefits may have been calculated differently depending on whether the member is male or female.
The review may mean an adjustment to your pension. In most cases the adjustment will not be large. This is not just about changes to pensions for female members, male members may also be affected. It applies to both members and their dependants.
The work is complex and takes time because we need to look at a lot of historical data. We wanted to reassure you that the project is still ongoing, but you should hear more in 2026.
